In April 2010, Eleanor Moseman left Shanghai on a journey of more than 10,000 miles, across 3 countries, on one bicycle. This is where she updates from the road.
  1. Irkeshtam Pass

3 cyclists are nearly killed by a blizzard at the summit of the Irkeshtam pass in Kyrgyzstan.

15 minutes before the storm, and 15 minutes after I was nearly pinned against a 2 meter ice wall by a cargo truck.

I’ll post the entire story later and photos.

  2. Uyghur Henna Stain

Like the fingerless riding glove tan?
And yes, I’m married in Muslim country.

Cultural Chameleon, thanks Danny P. for that!

  4. #&$#$%)$@$&%!@($ you wind!

Where have I been for 5 days? Battling this.

I was pushing whopping 6 km/hour. Awesome! No wonder those English boys were getting +160km a day.

Nothing like chasing your tent over dunes in the freezing desert mornings either.
