  2. Thanks Alex, but we are never alone if you keep your heart open to strange and surprising experiences. If it wasn’t for the true generosity of strangers, I don’t know where I would be.

    It’s funny, we are always alone, but on the other hand….we never are.

  7. Hi, I rode from BeiJing to Amsterdam last year. Someday I have to ride from BeiJing or XiAn to Kathmandu. I heard that you need to be on a tour to travel through Tibet?

  8. This is true, unless you sneak in illegally. I got busted after 3 weeks of attempting to enter Xinjiang on the NW border. Oooops. Police escort for 3 days back to Xining.
